17 Mar 1997 Mr Hill, Thanks a lot for letting me know that the DWIA is back up! I adore your site, and have found it very useful. I've visited it since you've brought it back up, and I must say that you've kept the place looking great. Good luck for the future of your site! Michael Campagna
16 Mar 1997 Best way to describe it: WOW! In my opinion, this is the BEST Doctor Who Web Site (that it was for Whovian graphics was a given; it is now the best of them all!). David Strbavy
12 Mar 1997 Steve, Hi ! I visited your image archive web page and thought it was great. One thing however - while you have tons of people pictures, you have little (almost no) pictures of the TARDIS alone. I found one picture of the new Davison console, but that's all I could find. Tim Kendrick
06 Mar 1997 I wanted to comment on thewonderful job you did in arranging your site. It is much nicer to know you can find what you are looking for on one site than to search fruitlessly on many others. Also, do you have any idea where I could find a picture of the UNIT logo? Pat
05 Mar 1997 You're back! Awesome! THE DWIA IS BACK! Chris Maier
05 Mar 1997 Great site, and I am glad you are back up and running. Found some pics I had never seen before. :) Thanks for all your work in keeping it up. Chris Sweitzer (talavera@gate.net)
24 Feb 1997 Hello Steven! Just like compliment you on the return of the DWIA... An invaluable resource! Jason Fraser (jondar@netro.com.au)
23 Feb 1997 Hi, I really like your DW archive. It's great, images I can't find anywhere else laid out in an ordered format, the visual counterpart to the DW Wav Archives. Tyler Dion (Dion4596@aol.com)
19 Feb 1997 Nice to see the web site back up again! Looks great! Kathy Sullivan (wnmcgyver@VAX2.WINONA.MSUS.EDU)
09 Dec 1996 Does anyone have a good pic of Liz Shaw, and a pic of Geoffrey Beavers (without the egg fried makeup ie. a real life shot) that they could send me. It is a real shame that the image archive is down, it was the first place I was going to go to get one. Trevor Gensch (timelord@closer.brisnet.org.au)
19 Nov 1996 I really enjoy your site. I like how you updated each person with a short bio. I was real surprised to see the ages of most people as in my mind they are still as old as they were in Dr. Who. I also really like how you have added newer photos of some of the people. It's fun seeing how they look now. Keep up the good work Marie Smiejkowski (Marie.Smiejkowski@smg.seagatesoftware.com)
17 Nov 1996 The update on your Doctor Who image archive is great, especially in the story sections.Just one thing:Some pictures from the McCoy era would be nice. John Maier (johnm@bluefin.net)
15 Nov 1996 Hi Steve, I am also a Dr Who fan. You have a good collection of photos on your site. Brian Clark (bclark@es.co.nz)
14 Nov 1996 Do you have any plans to update your image archive? johnm@nh.ultranet.com
10 Nov 1996 Steve: First of all, let me say how impressed I am with your Web Site. I am recommending it to all of my Whovian friends with Internet access. David Strbavy (dastrbavy@pco.gc.ca)
09 Nov 1996 Hello there, Just looked at your Doctor Who image pages, Bloody Brilliant - just a couple of request(sorry to be a bit cheeky) Have you any shots of cybermen from 'The Invasion' and have you any shot from the various title sequences (esp showing the various logos) Paul V Cooke (P.Cooke@sheffield.ac.uk)
13 Oct 1996 Hey Steve! I just stumbled on your web page, it's FANTASTIC! I've added a link from mine. Well done. [Bonnie Langford]'s an excellent entertainer, and I don't know why people just don't seem to like her. They liked Kylie Minogue of all people. She's been one of my favorites since I were a wee lad back in the 1980s. Keep up the good work, I love your graphics! Stephen Forsyth (forsyth@mpr.ca)
27 Sep 1996 Hello, I have visited your web site (http://www.idis.com/shill/dw/dwia.htm) several times, and I am getting mad because it takes about an hour to download about two files. Why? TRutkowski@aol.com
23 Sep 1996 Dear Steve Hill, WOW! Just found your Dr. Who image archive. Truely awesome. The link that led me here said that this page was going to get pulled soon - is that true? Thanks, Heather Deacon (hdeacon@itsa.ucsf.edu)
19 Sep 1996 Great page, keeps getting better. Mark Steele (docwho@ozemail.com.au)
17 Sep 1996 I am grateful to you for your service to the community in providing these Doctor Who Images in a way easily accessible to everyone. I think you should include a picture of Michael Jayston, who played the Valeyard in "Trial of a Time Lord." After all, he is The Doctor! C. DeCelles (decelles@scranton.com)
17 Sep 1996 Dear Steve: Wonderful web site! Your pictures are just superb. Can you tell me if some of them are available to be purchased for my personal collection. I just died when I saw those beautiful pictures of Adrienne Hill, Debbie Watling and Mary Tamm. Dan Rand (cyberperk@cyberperk.com)
15 Sep 1996 Your Doctor Who Image Archive has greatly improved since my last visit. In particular, I thank you for putting up the pics of Nicola Bryant. Kirk Lund (klund@d-cubed.com)
11 Sep 1996 Greetings, After following DrWho-L for several months now, I've finally gotten around to visiting your web page. Very nice. Kevin Litten (k.litten@www.mebbs.com)
04 Sep 1996 The file in question (the first one I referred to) is named fieldj15.jpg. I have a question about this picture: did you trim or edit it at all prior to including it on your site? If so, and you have a fuller version of this picture, is there any chance you could send me a copy of that file? Andrew Burford (burforar@sun1.bham.ac.uk)
24 Aug 1996 Steve, I think you have done a wonderful job on compiling the stills archive and thank you for bringing back a lot of childhood memories from the Dr Who sci fi series! Who would have believed that 20 years or more down the track one could revisit The Doctor in sight and sound! I look forward to reading the chronology of the Dr and accessing all there is to know about this piece of wonderful science fiction. Once again THANKS! Lorna Hill (L.Hill@itc.gu.edu.au)
22 Aug 1996 Thought I'd let you know I think your Who Image Archive is excellent, I've seen some fantastic pictures here that I've never seen before, the Liz Shaw photos spring immediately to mind. I'm also impressed with your screen captures, particularly the composite shots (not just for the subject matter, I assure you!), do you do these captures yourself? I don't have the resources to do any scans myself, but I thought I'd offer a suggestion for a particular composite shot. There's a great shot in the first episode of "The Ribos Operation" where the camera does a full length pan up of Mary Tamm. It might take five or six captures, but I think it would make for a pretty stunning shot of Romana I, in full Time-Lady regalia. Dylan Crawfoot (n1391623@sparrow.qut.edu.au)
29 Jul 1996 I am really impressed with the archive, and have downloaded many of the photos. Do you do requests? I am interested in the ?1977 Dr Who Weetabix figures (the original ones). If not, this is just to let you know that I enjoy coming to your pages. Anthony Warwood (awarwood@netcomuk.com.uk)
28 Jul 1996 Do you have any nude/topless pictures of Mary Tamm or Louise Jameson? If so could you please forward them on to me. As far as the site is, I think it is just something short of seventh heaven. I really like it and will drop in once in a while. (name withheld by my own choice)
16 Jul 1996 Keep up the great work you have done so far with your page. It is a blast to go through. Jeremiah Shane Reese (mujsr10@uxa.ecn.bgu.edu)
14 Jul 1996 While totally understanding the desire to keep bandwidth small, the lower resolution just does not do justice to these photos. would it be possible for you to send me high resolution files of these images. In particular the b/w files bryann05.jpg bryann06.jpg bryann09.jpg and bryann12.jpg. Thanks in advance. Steve Waite (swaite@ix.netcom.com)
13 Jul 1996 A very nice web page for Dr. Who fans like myself. Thanks for the work. Robert Castle (rcastle@ghgcorp.com)
12 Jul 1996 Shill, Thankyou for providing some excellent photos of the sweet Lady Sarah! Colin F Russ (russ@antigrav.demon.co.uk)
23 Jun 1996 Steve: I was very pleased to check back on your site and to find that it was still there. The new format is slightly less convenient than the old one, but I can understand why you'd prefer it. The one modification I would suggest is to add the filenames to the text descriptions or provide some other means of correlating between the contact sheet and the text descriptions. Kevin W Parker (kevin.parker@tcs.wap.org)
25 May 1996 Love your DR WHO area! Love the graphics! Love Everything! Jamie Gollehon (gollehon@iAmerica.net)
18 May 1996 I've just spent the better part of the evening going through some of your web page and down loading images, and I just wanted to drop you a note and tell you how much I've liked what I have seen. I think it's great. David Brown (dabrown@eurekanet.com)
11 May 1996 Would it be possible to get a copy of your graphic on your doctor who home page of the tardis walls? The walls with the circles. Scott Stasiowski (s.a.s@corenet.net)
09 May 1996 I was wondering if it was possible to get your TARDIS walls, wallpaper? Andy Chulka (achulka@mail.win.org)
06 May 1996 Love the site! Got to be THE best Who site on the net. I'll let all my Who-friends know of your address so they can access it. As for me, I'll be deleting all my other Who bookmarks and just keep yours! Keep up the great work. Love the TARDIS port-hole wallpaper and side-bar in your images page. Any chance of being able to download these so I can have a piece of the TARDIS in my computer too? Steve Gerlach (hseditor@ozemail.com.au)
03 May 1996 Your Tardis circle wallpaper is great! Too bad that the Syvester McCoy Ace picture looks like it was once a GIf! P.S. Glad that more were checked out! Many of the other images were quite fine-Great JPegs! Thanks for the pages. A new bookmark! John Monkus (aabbeama@gnv.fdt.net)
02 May 1996 COOL PAGE!!! I've been looking all over the net for a good Doctor Who picture page and yours is by far the most comprehensive I've found. Ben Breen (bbreen@parkland.cc.il.us)
15 Apr 1996 Great Page! I'll keep browsing over here to check for new images. I'd like some of the TARDIS. Brian R Zemlicka (bzmlka@execpc.com)
14 Apr 1996 Hello, Steve. I just recently came across your Doctor Who Image Archive. I just wanted to let you know that your achive is one of the best picture gallerys of Doctor Who I have seen on the Web in a long time. It's nice to see such a good collection of Doctor Who related pictures. Even at a lower resolution scan, your pictures still look better than what I have seen on the net in the past. Thank you very much for your effort into this web site, I for one really appreciate the hard work you have put into this archive. Shannon Gamble (shgamble@spots.ab.ca)
01 Apr 1996 I have been thorrougly impressed by your Doctor Who image archive... Ross Raszewski (rraszews@skipjack.bluecrab.org)
01 Apr 1996 Great site! Really enjoyed it. Why so few images of the two Masters (especially Delgado)? *sigh* I guess I'll just have to dig out my old Doctor Who Magazines and scan a few. Stephanie Linz (steph@enterprz.crawford.com)
30 Mar 1996 Dear Sir, My name is Chrystal Whiteford. I am 9 years old and I live in Brisbane, Australia. Thankyou for the pictures of Dr Who. My favourite Doctor is Tom Baker. But I like all of the Doctors, although I am not too sure about the last one yet. My favourite companions are K9, Romana 2 and Ace. Yours faithfully, Chrystal Whiteford (rwhitef@bit.net.au)
29 Mar 1996 I received my Friends of DW magazine and her name is Dr. Grace Holloway ( not Wilson). Additionally, I would like to comment on how I love your archive. I have been retrieve as many "tasteful" picture that has each actor/actress pictured in their role. The reason being is that I am writing a database for DW in Microsoft Access. I have found that my resulting database may reach 20 Megs. What I am trying to say is...keep posting for your archive. It looks great and I as well as other most certainly appreciate it. Jason L Ring (jlr9108@cacs.usl.edu)
17 Mar 1996 Wonderful work on your web page. Joe Wesson (NNSS21A@prodigy.com)
12 Mar 1996 Your image site is terrific! I'm currently in the process of setting up a Who-site of my own here in the UK - hopefully, a comprehensive story guide including detailed synopsis. I'd love to incorporate some of your images in it (with, of course, a credit to yourself and a link to your site). Where did you get the roundels background image. I wanted to use that but never managed to capture a decent copy.... Richard Gregory (richardg@wkac.ac.uk)
11 Mar 1996 I have just recently began accessing your web page. I must send my highest praise to you. Your page is very well organized and you have some wonderful high res pictures. Shannon Cartee (cartee.6@postbox.acs.ohio-state.edu)
05 Mar 1996 Thanks! You have the best Peri pics on the Web! Kirk Lund (kirk@novia.net)
13 Feb 1996 >I've put a cleaner version of the picture of Paul McGann in costume as >the Doctor in the Doctor Who Image Archive. All right! Steve comes through for us again! Elsa J. Frohman (elsaf@usa.pipeline.com)
13 Feb 1996 Dear Steve: Thanks for your page. I was looking for more Doctor Who photos, so I appreciate finding your archive. Charles Boone (cboone@pacific.telebyte.com)
11 Feb 1996 love the archive! Suggestion? Add the Rani in somewhere! Brian Calhoun-Bryant (brcalhou@syr.edu)
08 Feb 1996 Howdy, I thought I'd tell you I really liked the setup for your Dr Who picture gallery. I was wondering where you were getting some of those shots (especially the ones from 'Planet of Evil')? It's the first time I've seen them, and they are very good. Well, if you'd like a request, too, I have one for the monsters. I'll probably be the only one to ask for pics of Drathro, the L3 robot from 'The Trial of a Time Lord' pt 2. I just like him. In any case, thank you for providing such a fine source of pictures for Doctor Who enthusiasts. Dan Wright (dan@flytrap.res.wpi.edu)
