Video Hardware Click on the thumbnail to see the Panasonic AGA-800 Editing Controller (21K)
We have been fortunate to have access to some outstanding S-VHS and 3/4" Umatic SP editing equipment for our last two projects. This is the edit controller, a Panasonic AGA-800. We still do simple assemble-editing for most of the project with a sprinking of video and audio insert here and there. We may have access to non-linear digital editing equipment some day, but at least there's no learning curve with this equipment. Favorite button: Preview. If it doesn't look good, reset your edit points and check again. Photo © 1997 Panasonic, used with permission

Here is the lovely Panasonic WJ-MX50 video mixer. Invaluable features include color correction, a huge selection of wipes, strobe and monochrome effects. This is also where we handle chromakey effects like Gordon Cole phasing in and out of existence in Realitywarp, fades to enable the TARDIS to dematerialise and split-screen to enable Nicola and Colin to talk to Peri and the Doctor all together in the console room.
